Predator 4D Wave(DX) sound card (Trident Chipset) If anyone has any suggestions other than the card sucks I would appreciate it.ĪMD K6-III 450 (soon to be a K6-III 450+ so I can overclock) I tried installing directx 8.0, but some of the games don't recognize that as a valid directx version so I went back to 7.0a. I have also installed directx 7.0a.which is required by a couple of the games. Sometimes when I get online the sound (beeps or clicks) repeats non-stop.until I reboot. Some of the games consist of Unreal Tournament, Star Trek Klingon Academy, Star Trek New Worlds, Requiem.and some others. In every game that I play I get distorted sound. I have downloaded the new drivers, updated the bios, installed the new 4in1 drivers for the Mobo, checked for conflicts, checked support on web sight and still no answers.
